Drip Trays and How to Maintain them
The Water Delivery Company receives the same question time and time again and in reaction to that we’ll use these articles to give some elementary guidelines to the more commonly asked questions. A common problem facing a person who has just taken delivery of their first cooler is ‘The Drip Tray is Full - How Do I Empty It?’.Over time the drip reservoir of the water coolers will fill up and unless its drained you’ll get water damage - damaging a wooden or laminate floor or possibly damaging a carpet - so its imperative to drain the tray regularly. Again if the tray isnt emptied regularly one possible result is the build up of algae and bacteria - the drip tray looks uglyand unhygienic. To begin - take off any tray which may sit on top of your drip reservoir. Many water coolers have this offering a support tray for any cups being used.. These will always simply clip out so a little firm pressure will remove the grill. Once the grill has been removed you’ll have a firmer grip on the drip tray itself. Again using firm pressure pull the drip reservoir towards you it unclips easily. Empty out any water into a bucket or sink. Give the inside of the drip reservoir a wipe with a soft cloth and you may like to use a little gentle cleansing fluid or detergent at this stage just to thoroughly disinfect the drip reservoir and optimise its hygiene level. Once the dripreservoir is empty you can simply clip it back into its home using firm pressure. You’ll sense the snap as it clips back into place. To coplete the process replace the grill if the reservoir has one and you’re ready to go!
