Third Time in Two Weeks, O2 Subscribers Go Offline

The first time O2 faced connection problems in recent weeks was when the company suffered a crash leaving its subscribers without internet connection, email and texting. It was reportedly a faulty GPRS satellite, which had led to this situation. However, the problem was fixed in a couple of hours and connections were restored. A company spokesperson had assured that engineers had succeeded in restoring majority of the connections and were trying their best to restore remaining connections.
Problems were back after a few days, which left O2’s subscribers without any voice or data access. This time too the defect was remedied, with another company spokesperson apologising for loss of service and assuring once again that it would restore the affected connections as soon as possible.
O2 seems to be going through a rough phase, and it needs to ensure no more troubles occur in its data connections, otherwise both its image and its subscriber’s trust would be at stake.
