The 3 Essential Components of a Search Engine Optimization C

Posted by admin on April 30th, 2008 — Posted in Marketers Center

Everyday, the Search Engines average 300 MILLION searches. In a recent Forrester Research report 81% of consumers on the Internet find products and services by using the Search Engines. Search Engine Optimization allows you to achieve top search engine placement and a tap into a new source of qualified visitors who are actively searching for products and services on the Internet.

Unfortunately, only 7% of all websites are visible by the search engines according to a recent StatMarket.com study. The reason for this phenomenon is because most web sites are not properly optimized and promoted to achieve high search engine rankings.

The Top 3 Components Of Optimizing Your Web Site for Top Search Engine Rankings:

To achieve the best overall, long-term search engine positioning, three components must be present on your web site:

  1. Content component (Your web page text.)
  2. Link component (How you link your pages together.)
  3. Link Popularity component (The in-bound links to your site.)

1) The Content Component

The most important part of the content component (of a search engine algorithm) is keyword selection and where you place keywords on your web pages. In order for your target audience to find your site on the search engines, your web pages must contain keyword phrases that match the phrases your target audience is typing into search queries. Finding these keywords that your target audience uses to find your product is accomplished by conducting keyword research.

2) The Link Component - Internal Linking

The strategy of placing keyword-rich text on your web pages is useless if the search engine spiders have no way of finding that text. The way your web pages are linked to each other has huge impact on your site’s search engine positioning. Be sure to link your pages together with your keywords within your links.

3) The Link Popularity Component - Acquiring In-Bound Links

The “Link Popularity” or Google “Page Rank” (PR) component of a search engine algorithm analyzes how many web sites link to your website.

95% of the battle of getting high rankings at the search engine is acquiring quality and relevant links pointing to your web site. Ever since Google entered the search engine market, all the major Search Engines have started using links as the primary way they rank web sites. This is known as your web site’s “Link Popularity” or in Google’s case it’s called “PageRank” or “PR.”

For example, the heart of Google’s algorithm is PageRank, a system for ranking web pages developed by Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin at Stanford University. Here is what Google says about their “PageRank” web site ranking algorithm at their web site http://www.google.com/technology/… “PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page’s value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves “important” weigh more heavily and help to make other pages “important.”

As Google explains, Links and PageRank are critical to ranking high in the search engines. In fact, inbound links and the text within those inbound links account for 95% of effective search engine optimization.

Relevant Links: But, attaining optimal link popularity is not as easy as simply obtaining as many links as possible to your website. The quality and relevancy of the sites linking to your site holds more “weight” than the quantity of sites linking to your site. Since Yahoo is the most frequently visited site on the web, a link from Yahoo to your website carries far more “weight” than a link from a smaller, less visited site.

Here’s what Google Developer Matt Cutts has to say about links…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Thematic incoming links from authority sites
carry more weight than on-page optimization.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Top 4 Strategies for Acquiring Links to Your Web Site:

Below are the four critical steps for achieving high rankings by acquiring text links to your web site…

1) Get a higher Google PageRank score than your competition For any given keyword, there is a minimum PageRank required to rank at Google. In order to see what this minimum PageRank number is, search Google for your keyword and look at the PageRank of your competition’s web sites that are ranked in the top 10 of the Search Engine Results Page (SERP). An easy way to view the PageRank scores of your competition is to use Google Toolbar http://toolbar.google.com or the SEOChat PageRank Search tool.

http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/pagerank-search/

2) Get more relevant links than your competition All links are not created equal. The best links are “relevant” links from web pages related to your keyword.

3) Get more links on more different web sites than your competition Getting links on a variety of different web sites on different networks is crucial for high rankings.

4) Use the keywords you want to high rankings in the search engines as the anchor text of your in-bound links. “Anchor text” is the visible text within a hyperlink. Text links and anchor text are the two most important criteria for how Google and other top Search Engines rank web sites.

Here is an example of a link containing the keyword phrase “ERP Software” within the anchor text…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
F*R*E*E [ERP Software] white paper shows how
to increase profitability and reduce inventory.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Relevant Links and PageRank are critical to achieving high search engine rankings. Want proof? Do a search at Google for the highly competitive keyword “computers” and you’ll find Apple and Dell computers rank numbers 1 and 2 in the

Search Engine Results Page (SERP). Now, click through to the Apple and Dell web pages and look for the word “computers” in their web page text. What did you find? Neither www.apple.com or www.dell.com have the word “computers” in their text, yet they’re ranking #1 and #2 at Google.

Relevant Links and PageRank Win!

The sites with the most relevant links and highest Google PageRank win every time and rank the highest at the top search engines. There are many methods you can use to acquire text links including buying links from a broker, Internet directories, reciprocal linking, Internet publicity, and others.

Simple Methods To Reduce Credit Card Debt

Posted by admin on April 30th, 2008 — Posted in Credit Resources

Many people do not realise when their credit card debt is getting on top of them until it is too late.

The best thing to do to see how you stand with your credit card and how much you are paying back to them each month, is to calculate your monthly earnings and then calculate what you can afford to put back into your credit card account. You will then you have to divide your earnings by what you make in payments to your credit card and if you arrive at a figure of 15% or more going towards your card debt, then you are facing the chance that you are falling through a debt trap door that you cannot get out of.

If you find that you are in this position, the best thing that you can do is to stop using your credit cards and look at other areas in which you can cut back in your expenditure. The thing that I am going to suggest may not be what you would think, but it can go a long way to saving you a lot of money. The area in which you can save cash is your grocery bills, “but I have to eat” I here you say that is true as it is a fabric of our being, but it is the manner in which we spend our cash on groceries, that costs us a large slice of our monthly bills being higher than it should be.

Lets start with how many times that you have been looking through the newspapers, and you have came across money off vouchers on products that you do usually buy and ignored it and then threw the paper in the bin? Loads of times I bet and when in the supermarket do you go for the big named brands that are a lot more expensive but are told that they are of higher quality? Of course you do, but the fact of the matter is that the big name brands are not that much better, than the stores own branded labels and in many instances the product is made in the same place and are very similar.

Even if you see the big named brand with a promotion of 50% free or buy one get one free, you will find in many instances that it will still be cheaper to buy supermarket own brand products. And what you must also remember is that these firms are not going to sell their products at a loss. So just think at the high mark up price that they are usually at when not on a promotional price.

So by cutting down on your grocery expenditure, you will soon see the difference in your credit card debt, as you put what you are saving back in to clear your credit card balance.

At the same time as cutting your debt, remember to pay your credit card bills on time. Credit card late repayment penalties can work out to be very expensive and could actually undo all your good work. Credit card late payment penalties are currently being brought down to £12. This reduction was brought about by pressure from the Office of Fair Trading (OFT)

Design Bathrooms on a Budget

Posted by admin on April 30th, 2008 — Posted in Home Improvement Parlor

Creating a stunning bathroom complete with all the luxuries from whirlpool baths, a double basin vanity to radiator towel warmers, finished off with glam bathroom fixtures and accessories for the ultimate dream bathroom is every homeowner’s desire. When starting to explore your options for creating your prestigious space you should start with a wish list of desired needs. The two points of interest at the top of your list will be budget and space, and then sub-dividing the list into two categories, “what can I live with” and “what needs to be replaced.”

Most often we tend to visualize everything brand new and over look the fact that by simply replacing small fixtures such as a new basin mixer tap can bring new life to an existing pedestal sink. When you look at the big picture, you not only save money especially if you are a do-it-yourself person, but you also save on having to purchase a new sink freeing up funds for other necessities such as a new bathroom mirror or new bathroom accessories.

If you are looking to give your shower a modern contemporary look, durable solid glass constructed doors is not only an affordable way to update the look of your bathroom, but allows you to do away with traditional plastic shower curtains and gives the bathroom a sense of spaciousness. Shower/Bath glass enclosures is also a fashionable way of dressing up your bathroom, they are easy to install and much easier to clean than cloth or plastic curtains. Finding solutions to meet both your needs and spending allowance for your bathroom remodeling projects, doesn’t mean compromising quality. Purchasing one good quality item, such as a whirlpool spa bath may mean looking at the “what you can live with” check list in finding items in your bathroom that can be refinished.

Refinish Bathroom Furniture and Save Money

New bathroom furniture does not necessarily mean the physical purchase of a new bathroom cabinet or wall mounted vanity, try refurbishing the cabinet or vanity instead. With a number of commercial products that can easily strip away old paint and wood finishes makes for an easy-to-do weekend bathroom project, with a little sanding and a fresh new coat of paint, varnish or wood lacquer, you will be surprised with the new look of your bathroom cabinet or bathroom vanity. Also determine who will be using the space, will it be a family bathroom or a tranquil place to relax and unwind. Setting clear goals will aid in deciding the bathroom design you are trying to achieve. If there are water works happening in your bathroom meaning children who splash around during bath time, then you most definitely want to think about using durable materials such as acrylics and ceramics. Baths that are filled with Stone Cast Resin with twinned skinned acrylic are far more durable than cast iron or steel where acrylic is less prone to cracks and scratches and pottery only bathroom suites are less susceptible to damage and stains compared to wood finished bathroom suites.

When it comes to space often rearranging the layout of your bathroom to either create the illusion of space or open the space for more functionality to accommodate the family is a workable solution. Today’s baths are available in a number of sizes and shapes, corner baths are an excellent choice for space conservation since they fit tightly into any corner of the bathroom creating a unique focal point and again are ideal for the price consciences consumer.

Turning a dull bathroom into an enchanting delight comes from inspiring ideas which can easily be seen on the internet or by taking a trip to a bathroom shop. Get advice from the experts and do some price comparison. If you are out and about shopping around for bathroom products remember to bring the necessary items to avoid several trips, paint swatches, tile samples, measurements including a floor plan, existing hardware if you plan to replace bath/shower or basin taps for exactness rather than guessing, and pictures of your existing bathroom, this will help with your selection and give you a visual sense of how the bathroom will look. Finally, while trying to get the maximum utility out of your bathroom, always balance out your needs with your bottom financial line and not to stray from your budget.

Breaking News: The Answer May Not Be In The Infomercial Financial Course

Posted by admin on April 29th, 2008 — Posted in Make Me Beautiful

The other night, leg cramps kept me up at night so I found myself
watching these various couples discuss their success over buying
a Real Estate course in this infomercial, at 2AM.

The evidence that people are purchasing these “Sudden Wealth”
programs are right there on the television screen in front of me.

After all, the advertisers of these “Complete Kits”
would not otherwise continue to pay for this advertising
without continuous customers.

I’m not necessarily trying to say to you that it’s _always_
a bad idea to call that 800 number and order.

… However, if you have a subtle, but conflicting
dialog in your head while dialing the numbers on the
phone…

- in other words, if you are going against your instincts -

.. then you are probably reinforcing one of the following
beliefs, unconsciously, by being the willing consumer:

Belief #1. I am not “plugged in” enough to this Universe to ever
receive just the right Avenue for my wealth, one that
suits *me*. Things just don’t work out for me that
way, so I will force a solution by buying into this.

( can you guess how possibly unhappy someone’s external circum-
stances would be, with this belief? Guess what? If you exist,
than you Are plugged in!)

Belief #2 “My Wealth is decided by External Forces, and this
Instant-Cash marketer on the screen looks like he’s
got ‘Inside Information’ on these external forces,
so I’d better get in on this.”

Belief #3 “If I don’t buy this program, than it means that I’m
probably passing up on the incredible lifestyle I
see in the background” - the infomercial sponsors
probably assume a mostly male audience, because the
most prominent “props” are the young, attractive
women on a boat - which I’m not complaining about.

Other than reinforcing limiting beliefs, this kind of “Aimlessly
Grasping outward”, for solutions of getting more money is an ex
ample of

- Backward Thinking -

at least to me - and I’ll explain why I think this is the case..

The *only* thing worth spending your investment of emotional
and thought energy is:

What does *your* Ideal Life look like, from the time you get up in
the morning, to WHO you are with, WHAT you might doing,
WHERE you live, etc..?

Those ancient, and not so ancient writers such as Wallace Wattles,
Charles Fillmore, Neville Goddard who wrote about
Universal Principles, such as the Law of Attraction,
truly led the way on how to Radiate the proper emotionalized
thoughts!

Think: END RESULT..

“Assume the Feeling of the Wish Fulfilled.” - Neville

It’s a simple habit to get into - but not necessarily easy -
to Visualize with Feeling a picture of what your ideal life is,
on a daily basis.

I say “Not Easy”, because: We put so much importance
on our current physical reality.

Wallace Wattles said that this is the hardest work for us to
to do …

We DO need to dwell on - with our thoughts - What we desire
vs
Reinforcing (with our attention), the External appearances

Besides doing your best to visualize daily and with Feeling,
also, I’ve found through a lot of reading, and application
of these concepts gleaned from my reading, that
Life gives you nice bonuses when you simply:

=> Do something you Love doing <=
=> Just for the Joy it gives you <=

- The first reason is that when you are doing something you
love, oftentimes, you can’t help but create something that is
valuable to other people, which then returns back to you.

- Personally to me, though, the better reason is that
you truly charge your body and emotions up
with a rich quality of sheer joy that simply
Attracts whatever you require as answers to financial needs,
by the same laws written about through several thousands of
years. From within, without.

You might have heard of people saying something similar to:
“If I won the lottery, I could finally stay home and just Paint”.

But I’ll bet that giving that Gift that’s inside of you - and
that’s just aching to be Given - and NOW, not Later - is what
could Launch Things Off in your life in a big way.

This makes you very Magnetic for attracting more.

( Start: Now - but don’t make the painting _itself_, in your
expectations, to be the only Avenue or Channel through which
the Universe delivers that lifestyle that you envision. )

So, to sum up, I’d say the odds are good, that using the money
that’s otherwise pegged for the Day Trader Instant-Business-Now
package ..

.. would better be spent on the Web development software if you
crave doing this type of thing, or if you’re a Painter, buy the
paint and brushes, or if you want to create Music,
than buy that music software you’ve been wanting, or the guitar.

( If you Do love the thought of Day Trading, and your instinct
about the Infomercial gives you a “YES”, then call and order )

As Neville says, (and Steve paraphrases),
“Wear the Feeling-State of Having Your Objective Realized”.

Live in your Ultimate Dreamed-Of Life NOW as much as you can
with your actions, environment and especially in quiet meditation
sessions with your internal images.

Live *From* the Feeling As If You were already in that environ-
ment.

If you were that person with that level of consciousness,
would you be sitting in front of the TV actually pondering over
buying that packaged kit that involves you doing something you
wouldn’t actually enjoy doing?

Chemotherapy Gave Us A Gift of Time

Posted by admin on April 29th, 2008 — Posted in Medical Management

In December 1999, my beloved husband of 32 years was diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma and given a prognosis of 3 to 9 months. He was a former Wittenoom child who at the tender age of seven lived in Wittenoom for period of seven short months. Tragically it was long enough for him to inhale the deadly blue asbestos dust that would ultimately take his life.

As Brian’s disease progressed, the tumor pressed against his esophagus making it almost impossible for him to swallow. For a short period of time, dilatation was given to stretch the opening, thereby enabling him to manage a pureed diet. However when these dilations were no longer successful, we were told that chemotherapy was the only option. It was painfully obvious that unless chemotherapy could shrink the tumor, Brian’s death would be imminent.

Although we had no choice, the thought of chemotherapy was frightening. We had heard stories of extreme nausea and hair loss, and the added fear of the unknown intensified our suffering. There were many questions. How would it affect us? Would it work? How long will it go on? Will Brian ever be able to eat normally again?

For Brian, chemotherapy was never promised as a cure but as a trial, offered to him in the hope of shrinking the tumor, thereby enabling him to eat and drink and hopefully, to afford him “quality of life” for the remainder of his life.

Brian began chemotherapy in January 2001; his reaction to the first round of treatment was dramatic; he vomited continuously and was unable to retain his oral medication and needed to be hospitalized. Unable He remained in hospital for a short time during which the Pain Management Specialist attached to the Palliative Care Unit was able to bring his symptoms under control. The medication he prescribed effectively controlled Brian’s nausea and when taken prior to further chemotherapy sessions, prevented further bouts of nausea from occurring.

Without fear of side effects, Brian welcomed his chemotherapy sessions and the resulting benefits of the treatment soon became obvious. By the end of the second round of chemotherapy it was obvious that the treatment had shrunk the tumor; the changes in his condition and disposition were amazing; he felt and looked so much better, was able to eat meat and enjoy food again. I could not get over the change in him.

Excerpt from my diary:

March 2001

Brian is feeling so much better. He is able to eat meat and enjoy food again. Chemotherapy HAS shrunk the tumor. I cannot get over the change in him. It is a precious gift and I am so grateful for it.
Brian has been amazing. The chemo and nausea medication tire him for a bit but within a few days he is back on top and his general well-being is amazing. Oh the joy of seeing him able to eat again! The chemo has definitely given him better quality of life. His appetite is amazing!

I realized at this time that despite all of our fears regarding chemotherapy, it had worked well for us. It had given us a precious gift of time. A special “time out” from the pain and suffering of it all. There was quality of life and we were determined to live it to the full.

Excerpt from my diary

There’s laughter now in our days
for we have grown stronger.
We have learned to push our grief away
and to live each moment of every single day,
for we know that tomorrow may never come
and that our goodnight may well be our goodbye…

Guide To Choosing The Right Flight School

Posted by admin on April 29th, 2008 — Posted in House Of Travel

Flying an aircraft is the most exhilarating activity man could ever learn, and where height is the ultimate challenge. It takes both skills and dogged determination so as to obtain a career in navigating an aircraft.

Determination is an innate quality that pilots must possess in order to endure the rigid training of flight operations.

On the other hand, skills are being learned in a flight school. That is why, it is important for a pilot wannabe to get the best flight school available so as to acquire the necessary skills needed in order to pilot an aircraft.

In this manner, it can be assumed that the skill of a pilot will be entirely dependent on the type of flight school he or she has enrolled in. It can be considered that all flight schools teach the same basic procedure in navigating an aircraft but the kind of approach they use in disseminating the information varies.

For this reason, it is a must for every aspiring pilot to deliberate upon the requisites of an efficient flight school. To determine its efficiency, here’s a checklist on what to look for in a flight school:

1. Proficient instructors

What the students learn will depend on how efficient the instructor is. That’s why, it is important to check on the capabilities and qualities of the instructors in a certain flight school so as to ensure efficient and effective training.

2. Flight course

A good flight school must have a comprehensive and innovative pilot course. So, when looking for one, you must check on the details of the course outline. It must have thorough specifications on the lesson plans, learning goals, and the date of every flying session.

Remember to check the course outline for the addition of pre and post-flight consultation and stage checks.

3. The training tools

The training tools are very crucial in the learning process. These will initiate the proper learning process. Hence, when looking for good flight schools, check if they have diagrams, computer, videos, and model training tools. It will keep your discussions more realistic and comprehensive.

4. Check the aircraft.

A good and efficient flight schools must have enough aircraft to convene to your flight training needs. The aircraft should also be well equipped with different gadgets that will resemble to the actual aircraft being used. There should be Mode C transponder, and intercom.

Check also if the aircraft are properly maintained and well taken care of.

5. Services

Like any typical schools, flight schools must also have comfortable, sanitary, sufficient classroom size and number. It must also have other facilities like lounge, library, and flight planning area.

6. Payments and Refunds.

Be sure that the flight school you want to enrol in should have refund policies. Otherwise, do not pay the tuition fee in full.

So, now that you know the very essential factors that you have to consider in choosing a flight school, the next thing that you have to do is to look for a good flight school and have your registration forms ready.

But before you register, here are some things that you have to do first:

1. Gather data

Now that you have a checklist, it would be easier for you to look for a good flight school. But first, you must compile all the probable flight schools in a list. In doing so, you will have a vision on how many probable flight schools are there in your area.

2. Check on the two flight schools

Personally visit the two top flight schools of your choice. Evaluate the flight school if it is good enough for your training. Use your checklist when evaluating the school.

You can further maximize your evaluation by interviewing some students in the school and the instructors. Through their answers, you can get the hint if the flight school is good or not.

3. Decisive moment

After all of these things had been done, it is now high time that you finally decide which flight school is good for you. Just keep in mind that when choosing a flight school make sure that it had met all the requirements you need in your checklist.

Also, it is important that you consider the tuition fee. Do not be too constraint with the high tuition fees of flight schools. Besides, you can always expect some quality training in expensive flight schools. There may come a time that even if you have chosen a cheaper flight school, you might only end losing more in the end.

In Search Of Self-Esteem

Posted by admin on April 28th, 2008 — Posted in Uncategorized

Mark and JoAnne are the parents of a daughter who recently graduated eighth grade and will be attending high school. The girl is a straight “A” student and though slated to attend public school, her parents felt that she will have better social influences and curriculum at a p rivate school believing that her recent rebellion and acting out sexual behavior with boys was a reflection on her previous school setting. In order for them to ensure she was in the best possible environment, Mark and JoAnne attended the parent and teacher conference at the private school.

The focus of the meeting was to reassure parents that the school had a strong curriculum with the proper emphasis on the three R’s, as well as other academic building blocks. When the parents left the meeting they were ecstatic. When they told their daughter of the pending change in schools, however, her reaction was dramatic. Her defiance increased and the sexual acting out became more frequent and blatant. She was even arrested for shoplifting. After a month of family turmoil they turned to counseling. After a short period of time it was clear that the parents’ focus on academic building blocks and seemingly natural academic path for a straight “A” student was at the expense of recognizing that an equally essential building block to ensure their daughter’s success in life was missing. She had no self-esteem.

The ability to feel self worth is an essential human survival skill. It provides the necessary sense of competence, motivation and ability to deal with those things and people that complicate the art of living life to its highest potential. Without self-esteem the ability to successfully navigate life’s hurdles is greatly diminished. People with low or no self-esteem are more likely to retaliate against life’s stresses because there is a tendency for them to attach their self worth to each and every event they experience; everything is personalized and the necessary rational and strategic solutions to a problem are circumvented.

Lack of self-worth is also an equal opportunity destroyer, impacting the entire spectrum of economic and social classes. Unlike a case of measles, it may not be easily detected. Previously, people with low esteem were more easily recognized by their acute withdrawal or aberrant behavior, all of which may still exist. However, many current sufferers of this condition present a competent and unaffected exterior, while on the inside they live a life of internal turmoil and fear.

Where does self-esteem come from? Some clinicians feel that a child’s personality is pre-disposed, while others feel that it can be instilled and taught the same way any cognitive task can be incorporated. It seems more accurate that there is a healthy combination of both polarized views. Though the etiology of the condition is important, for parents it is more beneficial to understand the signs and symptoms of those who are affected.

Children with low self-esteem may be overly shy, but others may have a tendency to be bullies, or show aggression with younger siblings or peers. Most are also prone to have strong or exaggerated emotional responses to frustration, hold grudges, perseverate on their appearance, or focus on things that they perceive to be unfair, such as a friend, a sibling with more toys, privileges or attention, etc. As they get older, they may deal with their inferiority by feigning sickness to avoid school or social situations and are more likely to engage in high risk behaviors - everything from sexually acting out, eating disorders, shoplifting, smoking, using drugs, or underachieving. Emotionally, they may feel undo stress for children of a similar age and feel pressure from activities that others would consider recreational, or social.

As parents, it is also important to understand that low self-esteem is also an emotional condition with deep roots and not solely a cognitive disorder. There is a tendency for parents to “talk away,” or attempt to rationally explain to their children why they “should” feel good about themselves. However, attempting to convince the child they should feel differently is ineffective, though some reality testing with clinical finesse may be incorporated into family discussions. This approach is more likely to teach the child to better hide their feelings of inadequacies, replace parental communication with mistrust and keep outside appearances flawless. Instead, we can nurture our children’s esteem by providing our children with a loving and nurturing environment and keeping good lines of communication. It is also essential to keep challenging their abilities by teaching them how to navigate life’s hurdles, rather than how to avoid them, all while setting realistic limits and consequences. In extreme cases, professional intervention can be effective in teaching the child and family how to accommodate feelings of low self-esteem.

Electronic Distribution

How Electronic Distribution Works

The Problems of Distributing Prepaid Services with Hard
(Scratch) Cards

Introduction

One of the most significant developments in the prepaid telecom
industry in the last few years has been the emergence of
electronic distribution technologies, such as Prepaid Wireless
Direct point-of-sale activaton (POSA) will completely
reconstruct the way in which prepaid services are sold.

How Electronic Distribution Works

Prepaid Wireless Direct electronic distribution systems enable
any prepaid sevice to electronically transmit their services to
virtually any retail location. Prepaid Wireless Direct provides
an integrated POSA solution comprised of flexible and compact
point-of-sale terminal equipment, proprietary software,
transactional communications, protocols, and professional
services to assist retailers with implementation.

Once in the retail environment, consumers simply select a
product from point-of sale signage or displays and make the
approprate payment to the clerk who then inserts a wallet-sized
thermal card into the POSA terminal. After pushing a few key
corresponding to the desired product, terminal prints a prepaid
PIN along with usage instruction on the card. Prepaid Wireless
Direct also supports PIN-less delivery whereby the terminal
makes a real-time connection service provider. A credit is
instantly issued to the customer’s account. Within moments of
purchase, customers can use services.

The types of retail environments that are beginning to switch to
electronic delivery include wireless shops, supermarkets,

The Problems of Distributing Prepaid Services with Hard
(Scratch) Cards

Prepaid Wireless Direct has developed electronic distribution
services to address the many problems of distributing prepaid
mobile and other prepaid services through hard cards. Hard cards
are also known as scratch cards because the customer scratches a
panel on the back of the card to reveal a PIN or other secret
code.

The current and traditional distribution methodology of most
prepaid services involves the prepaid services involves the
provider printing scratch cards, warehousing them and fulfilling
orders to distributors. The distributors purchase large
quantities for providers, warehouse them and fulfill retail
orders. And retailers purchase the cards from distributors,
manage the inventory and sell the cards to consumers.

Each participant in the distribution chain encounters problems
with scratch cards.

Retailer Problems. Under today’s traditional hard card
distribution format, most retailers struggle on several fronts
to offer prepaid products

Retailer have a difficult time carrying the inventory costs of
prepaid services. The recent growth and popularity of prepaid
wireless intensifies the problem. With prepiad mobile, airtime
denominations are much more expensive the phone cards that most
retailers are familiar with. It’s common for one prepaid
wireless provider to offer 5 or more different airtime
denominations that range in price form $20 to $150 each. To make
things worse, prepaid wireless airtime is carrier specific,
meaning that Verizon prepaid wireless customers cannot top up
(recharge or replenish) their accounts with AT&T, Cingular or
any other providers’s airtime, and vice versa. This makes it
critical for retailers to carry airtime for all of the popular
national and regional prepaid wireless carriers or operators in
their area, something that retailers didn’t have to worry about
with phone cards. Today there is an average of six major
carriers or operators offering prepaid wireless in each of the
top 20 U.S. markets. Trying to inventory product for all six
could mean that prepaid wireless alone could account for as much
as 25 percent of a conveience stores total in-store inventory
costs. Many retailers simple cannot afford the cash outlay
required to successfully sell prepaid wireless services.

Retailer trying to minimize inventory costs often create
out-of-stock problems. In general, stock outages cost the
average retailer 6% of its sales, resulting in loss of billions
of dollars every year and high customer dissatisfaction.

To make thing worse, today’s airtime hard cards, also know as
vouchers, scratch cards, replenishment cards, recharge cards,
and hanging cards, increase the likelihood of fraud. The biggest
problem seems to be at the point of sale where easily concealed,
high-value airtime cards can be the target of both retail
customers and employees alike. To prevent comsumer theft,
retailers often put cards under lock and key but still suffer
losses due to employee pilferage. In the conveience store
industry, it is believed that as much as 80 percent of the
store’s shrinkage is attributable to employees. Retail employess
often feel underpaid and rationalize theft as a way to make up
for what they’re owed. As prepaid wireless airtime cards often
range in denominations from $10 to $150, employees can easily
conceal thousands of dollars of product in their pockets or
purses. Cards are also attractive because they can be easily
converted to cash on the street by offering them for sale at a
discount of their face value. Because they’re close cash
equivalents, prepaid wireless cards have become tantamount to an
underground currency in some places including Europe. Because of
the proliferation of theft reduction is the number one
investment priority among convenience store executives.

Additionally, each of the supply chain participants lacks
efficient inventory controls and reporting while battling fraud.
Because of the difficulties they face, and retailers that sell
traditional hard cards are in dire need of cost-effective
distribution solutions.

Electronic Distribution Solutions

Prepaid Wireless Direct products and services solve the
distrbution problems of retailers that sell prepaid wireless
(mobile) and other prepaid services.

Retailer. Retailers are increasingly demanding electronic
delivery for the significant benefits they derive.

By delivering prepaid products electronically, on demand, with
point-of-sale activation(POSA) techniques, Prepaid Wireless
Direct essentially allows any retailer to sell prepaid wireless
or other prepaid service without carrying any inventory. This
eliminates prepaid inventory costs that acted as enormous cash
barriers, prohibiting many retailers from selling prepaid
wireless or other prepaid services. What once tied up thousands
of dollars in inventory, now requires no up front cash from
retailers. Now virtually any retailer not only can afford to
participate in selling prepaid services, but also can expand
their product portfolios to include phone cards, wireless, dail
tone, credit cards, internet and more. In addition, they can
also afford to represent all of the popular prepaid wireless
service providers in their areas.

Also, because products are automatically replenished at POSA
terminals electronically in PIN or real-time formats, retailer
never run out of inventory. With Prepaid Wireless Direct POSA
solution, retailers avoid the heavy costs of out of stocks and
resultant customer dissatisfaction.

Once installed in a retail location, the POSA terminal virtually
eliminates theft by retail customers and employess. Because only
inactive products are on display, retail customers can no longer
steal valuable airtime. And because all retail employees are
assigned unique passwords required to accesss the POSA terminal,
the system creates an audit trail that details all sales
activity by date, time, shift and employee. This audit trail
provides a monitoring system that virtually eliminates employee
theft. With the POSA system, retailer no longer need to count
and reconcile scratch card inventory amounts at the beginning of
every shift.

POSA also reduces shelf space requirements and simplifies a
retailers job by consolidating all prepaid products into one
convenient POSA platform. POSA delivers operating flexibility to
the retail marketplace that traditional point of sale products
fail to provide.

Retailers also have 24/7 online access to reports that show
real-time sales activity by each of their locations. Retailers
can also print real-time sales report directly for their POSA
terminals. Reports can drill down to sales activity at
individual retail outlets by product, clerk, day, and time.
Reports come standard but may be customized to match the
retailers unique information needs. Retailers use sales activity
reports can also highlight sudden changes in sales at a
particular location. Subsequent investigation often reveals a
simple solution to boosting sales such as replacement of signage
that has been taken down by a window washer. Timely awareness of
problems and simple remedies often make a significant difference
to the amount of sales at retail.

Prepaid Wireless Direct is proud to be leading the way in the
electronic distribution of prepaid services through retail
environment. By delivering unique, industry-first features and
benefits, while supporting a growing list of platforms, methods,
suppliers, and products. Prepaid Wireless Direct is poised to
lead the electronic distribution movement into the future. In

How to Attract People to Visit Your Site Once More?

Posted by admin on April 28th, 2008 — Posted in Advertising Industry

It is not true that the best way to increase traffic is to attract
as many new visitors as possible. They will come for a few seconds and
go.

Even if a visitor bookmarks you, he is unlikely to ever return once she
leaves. (Check your own Bookmarks or Favorites list to see what I
mean!) No profit. The site is not popular. But when they come again,
this means that your site is really needed.

Why is it important to attract people to come again?

There
are many reasons why you would want your visitors to come back to your
pages. If you sell banner advertising space, you can easily calculate
that a person who comes to your site, looks at five pages and then
returns ten times within the next year and checks out an average of two
pages per visit is four times as valuable to you than one who reads
five pages but forgets all about you after leaving.

Owners of online stores benefit from an increase in return traffic as
well, because in many cases it takes more than one visit to make the
sale. The visitor might not need your product right now, but he is
likely to buy from you when the time is right.

Another advantage that arises from such visitor loyalty is that those
who regularly visit your site often mention it to their friends, family
and colleagues. This can easily create a so-called traffic virus, which
is born when people tell about you to their acquaintances, who then
spread the word to their own acquaintances and so on. While it might
not sound like a very big deal, word-of-mouth is the primary source of
traffic for many larger sites and the reason they have become what they
are today.

What do you need to do to get people to keep returning to your pages?

The first and main thing is to have high quality content. And to make
people trust you. To make them believe that you are a real expert in
your niche.

Get links to your site. Get people with complimentary sites to
link to yours. Links lead to clicks onto your website and help to
improve your search engine rankings.

Get published. Write articles for publication on other websites.
The author profile will link to your site. The article will show that
you’re an expert.

Publish yourself. Write articles for your own site regularly.
This will help you to win on the search engines and gives your visitors
a reason to come back over and over.

Feedback. You need to talk with your visitors. It can be some
forum, blog or even newsletter but it is very important for visitors to
be able to ask questions and receive answers. You never can see the
faces of your visitors, but you are to persuade them that your face and
your site are the most relevant for them. Ask for reviews.

Ask for
reviews of your self-published articles on other webmasters’ websites.
Ask for reviews of your website, your products, your software, your
services. These will usually include links to your articles.
