With all the companies on the internet that offer affiliate programs, you want to be able to differentiate between the types of programs that are being offered.
The three main affiliate programs you can choose from are, pay-per-sale, pay-per-lead and pay-per-click.
Pay-Per-Sale programs are definitely the most popular. By putting a link on your website and promoting their product, these companies will pay you a commission (usually 10% to 25%) on every sale you make on their product. Some of the companies will even pay out bonuses to their top producers.
There are many companies that pay you consistently from repeat sales from a customer who continues to buy products.
Some of these companies offer a two-tier program, whereas you receive a small percentage of commissions from anyone who signs up as an affiliate through you. With this type of program is where you will begin to build a consistent stream of revenue.
To significantly increase your levels of success, choose an affiliate program that is in relationship to your website. If you choose a program that is also a good match with your viewer’s interest, than you can see great results and do very well with this program.
Pay-Per-Lead with this type of program the company pays you a fixed commission amount for all qualified leads that you send them. Generally the leads would be signing up for; a newsletter, credit cards, new email subscribers, new applications to loans or requesting more information are a few examples.
Even though it is not as popular as pay-per-sale, some look at pay-per-lead programs as easier to promote because you are not requesting your visitor to make a purchase.
When considering this program, check out the company that you are going to be referring. You want to refer companies that offer a good product or service. Remember, if you refer someone to a bad experience, they will most likely not have any trust or interest in what you have to offer in the future.
Pay-Per-Click With this program you agree to put a link or banner on your website. The company pays you for each click through to their website. The payouts can be anywhere from $.01 to $.025 per visitor that you send to their website.
When considering this affiliate program, look for reputable companies that give you access to a statistics page to your account. This page should show you the total number of clicks that have come from your website, your earnings, new affiliates and contact information. This will be your only means to measure your earnings and how many clicks you have provided with this type of program.
A good word of advice is before signing up with any company, be sure to check out their program thoroughly and review their terms and conditions.

There is no doubt that there have been some wonderful people in this world who have given so much. They have made (and continue to make) it such a better place for them having lived. Those still living and those deceased give so much. The quality of their contributions to the human race enriches us all. Will that apply to you?
People such as writers John Steinbeck, Agatha Christie, Nelson deMille, Lee Child, Dean Koontz, the Bronte sisters and so many others enrich our lives with their words. Entertainers like John Lennon, Elvis Presley, Jon Fogarty, Dean Martin, Barry White, Nana Moskouri, Judith Durham, Yanni and, again, so many others, also enrich us. I’m just picking names off the top of my head. You will have your own favorites. Just think about them as you read my words.
What about famous people like Abraham Lincoln, Jonas Salk, George Washington, Jesse Owens, Winston Churchill, Marie Curie, Princess Diana, Mother Teresa, Bill Gates and others? They have all left some wonderful legacies.
Then there are despicable types. I won’t bother to name assassins, mass-murderers, despots, terrorists, vigilantes or the like. They have no place for being remembered - at least not in my mind. They and their evil deeds are best forgotten.
What will you be remembered for? Will you leave your mark in history?
You have greatness within you. All of us have. Will you share it with the world, your country, your city, your town, your friends, your family? Or will your greatness remain just potential greatness?
Will the world be a richer place for you having lived? I will leave you to ponder these things.

When playing poker, one must always be aware of cheats. When playing online, the number of people that don’t play fair is significantly reduced. The dealer can’t be bought because the dealer is a program, that randomly deals the cards and programs don’t care about money, they can’t cheat or have preferences. Unlike real life poker, online poker doesn’t have real cards, so no one can trick you by hiding them down their sleeves or swapping them somehow. Those abilities mean zero here.
Let’s talk a little about hackers, the ones that are so feared amongst some online poker players. In the past, way back there were hacker’s attacks. But many years passed since then and all technologies have improved. If a hacker should try to somehow turn the odds in his favor or influence the program, he wouldn’t be able pass all the way through the poker rooms. Like thieves are stopped in real casinos by security, so are harmful programs stopped by the protection software every online poker room has.
But there is a form of online cheating and it is manifested by players talking to each other, it is a type of player conspiracy. The players involved would tell each other what cards they have and evaluate together the odds, trying to make one of them win. The winnings will be eventually split between them. In real poker rooms this is impossible, but online they can talk on the phone or be sited at adjacent computers.
Luckily the majority of these players are beginners and they are not doing it to cheat the others, but simply because they don’t know how to play or what to do. They don’t know the power they are holding, so they pose no real threat. Anyway there are ways to stop them. Online poker sites usually check players that use the same IP or play at the same time every time in the same poker rooms. If spotted in any of these situations they are either banner or warned or even kicked from the rooms. As this can only be a coincidence, sites do not ban payers before really looking into the situation.
So, here are some thinks to spot when you want to see if you are cheated.
1. Some players that try to get the others players to leave the game. They will raise each other so that they can be left alone in the game.
2. Players that don’t play quick pre-flop. They might be having someone to protect or someone they are teamed with.
But it is very rare to met real online cheaters. If you think they cheat, do not under any circumstance accuse them directly of cheating. Just follow their actions and contact the webmaster, he will deal with this. Or, if you don’t want to get into any complications, just leave that room and enter another one.
